Establishment and purpose of the Foundation
The Dimitrios and Eleni Karagounis Foundation was founded in 2019,
by Presidential Decree and the signatures of the Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.It is a non-profit, with a main purpose of continuing the idea and focusing on reducing the inequality of opportunities for retraining young economically disadvantaged families.
Purpose
The main purpose of the Foundation is to provide scholarships to support the study of first, second or third cycle Greek students and students (eg undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, postdoctoral) in Greece and abroad. The Foundation can also provide any kind of financial aid, aids and awards to Greek students, students and students.
Greek students and students of all levels are eligible for a scholarship to study at home or abroad.
